Well i guess last time i ended with our ugly llama frannie.  There she is pictured above but you cant see how bad her bite it.  Poor frannie.  We really do love her but I have no idea what to do with her when we move.  We havent been able to catch her ever since the guy dumped her here.  How on earth we will ever catch her and load her on a trailer is beyond me.  She is an excellant herd guardian though.  Someone asked me over the weekend why we had a Llama and laughed when i told them she protects the minis.  They thought i was making it up.  We have an over abundance of coyotes here and she has done a great job keeping them and strangers out of the pasture.  Most people dont realize that llamas spit and make a noise almost like a cow.

Waiting on our last foal of the year from Patches our shetland pony.  We didnt know she was bred and have no idea of when she is due.  I thought for sure she would have had it by now.  Im so hoping she foals soon so the foal can get some age on it before we move.  We have had a horrible foaling season this year.  We have lost 1 foal to dystocia, 2 to late term abortions and one live birth.  I so miss having foals to play with! Im praying nothing goes wrong with Patches foaling.  This pony has more personality and smarts then any other horse i know.  She is very much the queen of the farm and knows it.  So many people are intimidated by her which i think is so funny.  Horses are so smart.  They pick up on humans fears so easily.  If i ever gave Patches an inch she would take 10 miles.   I learned real quick after we bought her to always be the boss mare and never let her get away with anything.  The two of us have a definate understanding.  Im the boss and shes the queen of the horses :)  Works well for both of us.   There is nothign better then waking up in the morning and walking out the back door and hearing Patches whinny for me.  Damn life is good!!!!
