Well I put her out for some sun and fun and she was again fighting with the other horses. I did leave her out a few hours and then put her back. All the signs of foaling are there and I guess when shes ready we will see a foal LOL
Just a note that I will stay on the edge of the stall while shes foaling unless theres a problem. Flirt is a very flighty mare and I am going to try and make this as stress free for her as I can. Once shes done foaling, I will dry the foal and imprint it. *as long as flirt will let me* With our other mares I am in the stall next to them the entire time but I dont think this will work for Flirt. I will try to call someone and have them update on the blog while im in the barn if possible.
Heres some foaling signs:
Pacing fast circles in the stall
Repeatedly laying down and jumping right back up
Kicking the belly
Once shes down if shes in labor you will see her legs go straight out like boards and her entire body will stiffen with each contraction.
